On January 30 and 31,
Scott Miller
premiered a new collaborative work with poet Philippe Costaglioli and director Jeffrey Bleam at Studio Z in St. Paul, MN, and at St. Cloud State University, MN. The work, titled
What You Have Taken
, is a dramatic work for spoken word in an interactive electroacoustic environment provided by Kyma. These concerts also featured the U.S. premier of
Chimera No. 2
performed by violinist Marion Judish. At
SEAMUS
in Ames, IA this coming March, Miller will present
Chimera No. 2.1
, a four channel acousmatic remix of the work for violin and tape, born of performer scheduling conflicts.
