Introduce yourself
In 2002 I was first introduced to Kyma by a student and quickly realized that it was a tool that would lend itself to my studio setup and way of working. In 2003 I purchased a used Capybara from another student who thought it would be better utilized by myself and I've never looked back. My Capybara now has four API preamps for a front end and is sending and receiving audio via S/PDIF to an Avid 003R. I am running Kyma X along along with Reaper & Pro Tools (in Rewire mode) on a Macbook Pro. Monitoring is taken care of by a Mackie VLZ 3 board and JBL studio monitors with Bose Quiet Comfort headphones used when recording. I am very happy with this setup; it is a very powerful system that also sounds amazing. I am currently teaching synthesis and composing original music.
