You can place this file into the Tools folder in the Program folder of the Kyma folder and open it from the Tools menu in Kyma, or you can use Open from the File menu to open it from any place on your computer. Use the controls in the tool to set the MIDI channel, velocity, octave, and timbre (useful for emulating the Continuum), and then click on one of the twelve buttons to send the keydown. ![]() ![]() ![]() We just tried downloading the (second) file and placed it in the Tools folder (on both Macintosh and PC, and on Capybara-66, LS, and 320) but do not get the message you are describing. Do you still get the message if you first play a Sound that expects MIDI keyboard input? Have you tried File Open to see if you get different behavior? IP: Logged | |

![]() ![]() ![]() Using File Open works (with fakekey in an other folder), but Kyma will not start up and gives the error with the file in the Tools folder.

![]() ![]() ![]() I just downloaded the fakekey, and I have the same probelms - running Kyma 5.18 on MAC - the fakekey objst can not be in the Tools menu at startup - if it is Kyma complains that the collection is empty, and freezes at that point of the boot. Nice tool though - thanks - would be cool to have it in the tools menu IP: Logged |
