![]() ![]() ![]() Hello, i dont want to bother anybody with my questions but i am stuck again... I finished the major parts of a polyphonic and multitimbral live re-sampling tool i created for live performance. It works great... thanks to kyma! It would have taken me ages to implement this one with the "popular tools" i used before kyma...;-) But now during performance i was wondering how do i "backup" or save the nice "Memoryslots" i created while (re-)sampling live percussions and internal kyma samples etc. How do i preserve those nice samples and save them with my snapshots to later re-use them and extend my kyma sample library? I came up with the simple idea to "trigger" a plain "sample sound" with "enabled FromMemoryWriter" option in the background. As it is triggered it plays back direct into a DiskRecorder. Works great! ...but stop... what is if come up with even a better sample during that performance in this memorylocation? Quote from "Prototypes Reference" PDF : So does this mean it only works once when i started the DiskRecorder as a part of a sound? I recognized that the DiskRecorder is obvious not intended to be used as a SAVE sample in memory replacement ... ;-) now my question: Is it possible to disable the metronome dialog? Is there simply a better way to "preserve" my live captured and re-sampled heavily tweaked samples then the DiskRecorder? ("recording before tweaking" like for soundesign is not an option since samples are created on the fly during performance) thanx for your patience all the best IP: Logged |

![]() ![]() ![]() If you check the Gated box (and leave ConfirmOverwrite unchecked), then you can record your takes one after the other in a single file (and later you could open that file and select your favorites). As long as the Gate value is on, the DiskRecorder will record its Input. Set the Duration of the DiskRecorder to be the maximum duration of what you want to capture multiplied by the maximum number of takes you expect to record. IP: Logged |
