Split-StereoPlayer.kym

I use SDII split-stereo files with most of my other Mac-based audio programs, so I built an easy way to use them in Kyma.

Attached is a new class that uses two GenericSources to play the left and right files of a split-stereo pair. When you compile the Sound, a dialog box will prompt for the file. You may select *either* the left or right file - it doesn't matter which - and the Script will automatically put the correct extension (".L" or ".R") on it. All of the other usual controls for a GenericSource are available, but they affect both channels the same.

I have included the source code for this new class, in case anyone wants to see how it works. (I can't really write Scripts, I'm just good at modifying them!)

Enjoy!
