i had the chance to try kyma running via a pc-laptop.
apart from having to use windows it seems to compile MUCH faster.
is the reason that the compiler runs faster under windows ???

The version of Smalltalk that we use on the Macintosh is written in 68000 assembly language, which must be emulated by the PowerPC. This emulation is what makes Kyma run more slowly on the Macintosh than on Windows.

We are working on moving Kyma to a new version of Smalltalk that will be native for the PowerPC.
