![]() ![]() ![]() Hi! I have been playing around with remastering some old CD's here, and I have one that I really like by Tangerine Dream. It is the soundtrack from the movie "Miracle Mile" (about a nuclear attack on Los Angeles!). With Kyma and all these sharpening tools, I notice that the voice choir sections on these tracks seem to be coming from a low-fi sampler... panned all the way in volume to one side and a fair amount of quantization. This CD was circa 1985 and no doubt they used an 8 bit sampler in those days. Maybe something like an Ensoniq Mirage or an E-mu Emulator-II. Any thoughts on how to smooth out sections like these and make them blend better with the rest of the music? - DM IP: Logged |
