Any sign of the promised pitch granulator yet?
It's a curious omission!

I think he simply means a "frequency" parameter in the SampleCloud object.

Itīs been requested for quite some time, but hasnīt been implemented yet.

Should I take it from the silnce following my request for a pitch function on the granulator that it will not be implemented ?
I'm in the ridiculous situation of running a cable to the input of my laptop running Audiomulch, (50 australian dollars) just so I can access a reasonable granular processor.
Failing this how about the ability to run VST plugins as part of Kyma ?

Gareth,

I, too, would like to have a granulator with frequency control - it is an essential part of granulating. I have used Thonk and other programs, and it is frustrating to not be able to do this in Kyma.

I have been working on my own solution to this, loosely modeled after Ichi's MAX/MSP granulator. It is working reasonably well, but of course it is not as efficient as a prototype version would be.

Anyway, I suppose I could post it or send you a copy if you're interested.

Thanks bill.
I'd b interested to see how you managed it. Garnulation can produce some of the most beautiful sounds - (as well as the most grotesque ). Can you post it up ?

Cheers,

Gareth

I have posted it in Sound Exchange along with a long-winded explanation. It isn't as cool as Thonk, but it has a lot more controls!

Give it a try.
