![]() ![]() ![]() Has anyone tried "kantos" from Antares Systems? I've been reading reviews and it looks like a pretty cool idea. It seems like we should be able to implement something like this with Kyma - minus the groovy interface. Unfortunately, Kyma's pitch tracking leaves a lot to be desired. Antares' Autotune is really amazing at pitch detection. IP: Logged |

![]() ![]() ![]() Bill, under what circumstances does the pitch tracking fail? Perhaps you can tweak some of the parameters to get better results? IP: Logged |

![]() ![]() ![]() Hi Bill One of the problems that pitch trackers have is locking to the correct octave. Antares' Autotune never needs to know which octave the input signal is, as it never needs to move the pitch by more than 6 semitones. This would be no good if we wanted one signals pitch to track another’s, for example, but the Antares doesn't do these kind of things. Kyma does. If you looks at "Pete's Auto Cord" you may notice that it detects what note is at its input and not which octave. This made the pitch tracking much easier to set up. It uses an add or subtract 12 semitone technique similar to the above. IP: Logged |
