switchSelector.kym

for the past few days i have been in need of a switch style selector, so i could visually see and choose valuse that have a non linear progression.

for instance, if you wanted to choose a loop length of a sample and you wanted to have the choices (0 1 2 4 6 8 12 16), a regular fader would not be able to do this.

to be able to slide a fader and have the number value display the corisponding array of selections, i used the soundToGlobalControler.

in the value field i used this:
!swtich of: (0 1 2 4 6 8 12 16)

and in the generator field i used
!num

i made !switch a fader without the number field and no name. just above the !switch fader, i positioned !num shrinking it to olny be a number field.

the only downfall to this switch is that the next array number does not get picked until you let go of the slider.

anyone know if there is a way around that?

Umm, donnu a way around it, but if you use a midi controller instead of the mouse, the fader behaves like, well, a fader, as opposed to that "wait for mouse off" thing you're talking about.
