![]() ![]() ![]() based on the batch processing ideas from Carla, I'd like to build a tool for batch processing audio files but write midi files instead of other audio files. I have come across the timesAndEventsFromMIDIFile message, is there a correpsonding timesAndEventsToMIDIFile message? and is there up-to-date documentation of Kyma objetcs and their messages? (perhaps my copy of Kyma Revealed is out of date?) IP: Logged |

![]() ![]() ![]() There isn't a corresponding MIDI out version of that message, but I'm wondering whether you might be able to do it this way: Take a MIDIOutputEvent and use it as the input to the MIDIVoice. Whatever events you generate in the script would then be sent to the MIDI output. Then you could use your DAW to record these MIDI events into a file. ![]() ![]() ![]() Thanks for the feedback, I do currently record the MIDI from Kyma straight into Logic but it is quite tedious, as I then have to demix the midi recordings according to ctrl number (unless I record each one separately, but that takes even longer: Track length * No. of MIDI Ctrls recorded). I was hoping to batch process the whole thing and have Kyma analyse the audio and create midi control data (ideally to a midi file) : currently the process is quite involved; I play the audio tracks from Ableton Live (mono outs) into the analysis sound in Kyma which in turn outputs midi into Logic Pro!! I have to do this because Live crashes(!!) trying to record the midi from Kyma and routing mono audio from Logic Pro into Kyma via AVC is impossible as far as I can see (have threaded the Logic forum on mono audio routing). ![]() ![]() ![]() If you could output each MIDI controller on a different MIDI channel, would that make it simpler to separate them after they have been recorded in Logic? IP: Logged |

![]() ![]() ![]() Actually I am already demixing the recordings according to channel (i assign each generated ctrl number to a different channel in the kyma sound). Well it's not too bad to continue as I am doing - i just have to more selective as what sounds should be doing the controlling which is good too! IP: Logged |
