Hi there.

Any way to change presets in the VCS from a program change or other MIDI event?
It seems like an obvious function, but I can't find a reference to it outside of using motormix.

Jeff Stolet posted a MAX patch to the forum that will roll the dice (you will probably have to change the number of days into the past that you want to read in order to find it again). Also, you can use the Arrow keys on the computer keyboard to page up/down through presets and the R key to roll the dice. No MIDI patch change message yet, though.

Thanks. The arrow key is a useful one to know.

How does the motor mix do it then?

Isn't a sysex messge or something MIDI related?

Or is the motormix not actually MIDI?

Yes the MotorMix sends MIDI controller messages (but interpreted in a weird way). That's how Jeff Stolet's MAX patch works.
