![]() ![]() ![]() Hi all - am making a dance project using 3D tracking of dancers - I have developed a few patches to shuffle over spoken text from the dancers. I am interested in gathering that text in realtime using radio mics and making a dynamic array of samples to load in a multisample or similar with the idea that: 1. The spoken text is captured into a sample when the dancers do a certain action 2. That text is stored at a point in the 3D space (not my task) but stored at an array index associated with the 3D point 3. When the dancers move through that 3D point, that sample is made available (as one of several) to be drawn from a multisample - for a period of a few seconds This would assume I had an array of sample created dynamically that would have an index which had an 'available' boolean and the sample would be called into the shuffler only while that boolean was true. Is this possible? I am imagining it would take some capytalk scripting which I am weak at, but happy to plug away if someone is able to give me an indication of where to start? Perhaps someone has done this already? Cheers, Garth IP: Logged

![]() ![]() ![]() Hi all I had overlooked the "batch record Sounds to disk files" sound which I am now developing for the purpose and so I am imagining I could make a folder with named soundfiles in it that were silent and then use the "batch record Sounds to disk files" sound to replace them with spoken text using the threshold of the incoming text to trigger the recording process? I am assuming I would need to use a multisample using the {'FeelingLittleSupportGivi.aif' sampleFileNamesInSameFolder} to set the folder and fill it with silent files so the index size can be set using ('FeelingLittleSupportGivi.aif' sampleFileNamesInSameFolder) size Is there a way of doing this without setting the index length or setting it as a constant - (ie 12) or will this cause a Null Pointer exception if I only have one file in the folder as a placeholder? thanks for your thoughts - off to experiment Cheers, Garth IP: Logged
