Well, wonder no more... The attached tester sound will tell you in a second how your sound treats the two channels. The check boxes along the top right of the VCS indicate "LandR", "LOnly", and "ROnly". Just insert your Sound before or after the Sound labeled "Device Under Test" and remove the DUT sound. Then run it and see... There are faders along the right for signal injection amplitude and frequency, just in case you need to prevent overloading your test Sound... Other check boxes on the right of the VCS indicate whether or not the left and right channels are changing, and whether they are identical. For this tester, a Sound is considered "LOnly" if the left channel changes, and either the right is the same as the left, or else it is unchanging. "LandR" is marked when both channels are changing and they are both different. Quiz Answers: This tester tells me that the "AbsoluteValue" Sound, as well as "Gains" and "Attenuators" work on both left and right channels independently. While the "RunningMax" Sound ignores information on the right channel.... Try it and see... - DM [This message has been edited by David McClain (edited 16 April 2001).] IP: Logged |
