I was wondering if any Kyma users had been using the M-Audio Fast Track Ultra USB audio interface (http://www.m-audio.com/products/en_us/FastTrackUltra-main.html) via the AV/C core-audio driver for the Flame....

I need to have four mic pre-amps input for a project I am doing, and I was wondering whether this could be the way to go, or whether I should simply use a stand-alone pre-amp device , such as the Presonus DigiMax D8 (http://www.presonus.com/products/Detail.aspx?ProductId=48).

Any thoughts or recommendations would be most welcome.

I would go for simple analog preamps, their outputs connected to Kyma's inputs. The converters on the Kyma are superb, and it's such a simple and reliable way to get the audio into the system.
