![]() Interestingly - If I try to play track 1 from a sequencer (sending note info to midi channel 1) the midi seems to get split because I can sometimes hear the track 1 sound playing and at other times the sound in track 2!! Sounds on tracks 3 and 4 which are supposed to be listening on midi channels 3 and 4 respectively do not produce sound at all, although they do if placed on track 1.... Ideally, I want to be able to play each sound (within each track on the timeline) from a sequencer using different midi channels. Any ideas what I'm doing wrong or if the timeline has indeed a new feature? Andrew IP: Logged

![]() ![]() ![]() I just now quit Kyma so I could go to record the fireworks so I can't open your Sound easily, but my guess is that you have MIDIVoice modules in the Sounds you have put into the Timeline. You don't need a MIDIVoice to assign polyphony or a MIDI channel to a Sound in the timeline. You can set the MIDI channel of each track of the Timeline, and you can set the Polyphony of each Sound using the small field just next to the name of the selected Sound. If you use a MIDIVoice in a Sound in the Timeline, it can conflict with the MIDI channel that is being assigned by the Timeline itself. IP: Logged

![]() ![]() ![]() OK, I just checked the Timeline and that is, indeed, what was going on. There is a MIDIVoice on the top layer of tracks 3 and 4 and a hidden one inside the Sound on track 1. These are conflicting with the channel defined by the Timeline (so you don't really need them). Hope you got some sleep! IP: Logged |
