Hi all,
I just noticed that one of the more prolific posters has run
up against the limit on how many files an individual can upload.
I seem to recall other mention of this in the past, and have a
possible solution to offer.
I have a web hosting service with essentially no limits on space
or bandwidth utilization. I'd be happy to try hosting a Kyma File
Sharing page/set of pages as a service to the community.
Any interest? Any objections? Other thoughts on this issue?

cheers,
Bill

I have another proposal for SSC - I would like to donate my spare upload quota to David - As I'm saving each 'Cool David' post, for possible future publication as the "Noo Kewl Guide to Kyma" And will then make tonnes of dosh and will retire happy ever after... besides I'm sure I still have 98% available for his use, as I'm probably to date the most unprolific sound poster ever!!

I can set up any individual with a subdirectory on my website. No scripting required -- you get FTP with a new virtual root. David is certainly welcome to one. E-mail the subdirectory name and password to somebody@microtonal.co.uk

Well, fellas... you have hit another hole in my knowledge here. If you are telling me to do something about Webs and FTP directories (not sure if you are), then I don't understand. I have about as much knowledge about Webs and protocols as I have about auto racing. I understand some of the jargon, but how to build and use one is beyond me.

So if you were telling me to try doing something, you might try being more explicit. Otherwise, never mind, I'm just rambling out of my territory...

We've upped the posting limit from the old value of 64 Sounds to a new limit of 512 Sounds per person.

In the future, should you ever find that you've exceeded your limit, please let us know rather than deleting any older material. We'd like to keep all of those patches around for new forum visitors to discover and download.

We look forward to all of you exceeding your posting limits soon!
