Got mine yesterday and started reading right away. I've picked up some great tips so far...

Taylor, take a look at the link in the first post of this thread. You'll find a Preview link on that page where you can look at the table of contents.

No essays... More like a personal guided tour through Kyma with programming tips and stimulating ideas along the way.

I have been reading it from cover to cover and find it a very rewarding read. It is good for beginners as it takes you through everything you need to know to get started, but it is also a good reference, even if it does not cover everything that Kyma does. I was thinking that even if Kyma did what was covered in this book only, it would still be a pretty powerful system!

Anyway, it has given me a lot of new ideas and sparked a lot of little projects that would not have happened were it not for this book. It is great to use alongside Kyma X Revealed and will no doubt be useful.

Am enjoying the different slant on learning Kyma.

Perhaps for a second edition there might be an option for ordering a version in colour?
Quite a lot of the images in my copy are fuzzy or unclear - for example, on page 181 the envelopes are almost invisible. Maybe higher resolution for the images (i.e. dpi) should be used? I say this because the text is nice and crisp but the screen shots are not. Perhaps screen grabs (72dpi ?) graphics could be upsampled to a higher dpi for the printing process?
