Author | Topic: Change in graphics behavior? |
Bill Meadows Member |
![]() ![]() ![]() I just switched to version 6.08 (I missed 6.07 somehow) and noticed that the graphics behavior is different. When I want to use the output of one Sound as the input to two or more other Sounds, I "control drag" it into the parameter field. This used to result in multiple lines radiating out of the first Sound, showing that its output is used in multiple destinations. Now (v.6.08) "control drag" creates a new icon with the same name. I'm guessing (hoping) that the compiler knows to instantiate only *one* of the source Sounds, but the graphics would lead me to believe otherwise. Why the change? As a GUI, it's confusing, and it also makes complicated Sounds even harder to read... IP: Logged |

![]() ![]() ![]() Bill -- We haven't made any changes in this area. Control (or Option) drag will drag the original Sound and not a copy of the Sound. You are right, the Sound compiler detects duplicate Sounds and uses only one copy of the Sound. IP: Logged |

![]() ![]() ![]() quote: I used to do this with control-drag, but now only option-drag works this way. Maybe it has to do with my recent change to 10.3? IP: Logged |

![]() ![]() ![]() Yes, Apple changed the behavior of keyboard and mouse events for 10.3.4 without telling anyone ![]() This will be fixed in an update appearing soon on a computer screen near you. IP: Logged |
