![]() ![]() ![]() Hi SSC - your wonderful and continuous updates to Kyma bring with it a challenge - remembering ones preferences setup - just wondering if it is possible to have the preferences file outside the app. package so that we do not ned to reset the preferences each time - I have found this tripped me up a few times with the Wacom as I go to play something and find I have not set the pen constraints properly - just a thought.... Love your constant attention to our requests and the ever increasing power of Kyma - love it all Cheers. Garth IP: Logged |

![]() ![]() ![]() Good point (it's tripped me up a few times too). We'll think about alternative ways of storing the preferences so you won't lose your settings when there is a new version. IP: Logged |

![]() ![]() ![]() Oddly enough, when I updated my version of Kyma from the January to the Fenruary edition(!), I noticed that my Preferences remained unchanged. That is to say, I didn't have to change the speaker settings from stereo to quad, select Motor Mix and so on.... Thinking I had made a mistake I checked the date at the bottom of the Preferences menu and it does say Kyma Release 6.260 (3 February 2006). Confused? IP: Logged |

![]() ![]() ![]() On Windows, this will happen if you do not delete the old Kyma X.app folder from the Kyma folder before you put in the new version of Kyma. (This is different than on the Macintosh, where replacing a folder deletes the old folder before putting in the new one. Window replaces only the files in the folder that have the same name, effectively merging the old and new folders.) IP: Logged |
