![]() ![]() ![]() Hi all I have been working with a number of delays, each reading from a MemoryWriter buffer. I have been experimenting building rich timbres using a number of these combinations (say 4-6 delays all reading from the same buffer) - one of the problem I have is that I need to go through each delay input (GenericSource) and change the buffer name for each collec tion of MemoryWriter and delays each time I add another set - I tried using the ?buffer1, ?buffer2, ?buffer3 etc type variable in each case so that I could set the various GenericSources to a buffer name on compile - this way I could easilly set the various multiples of the sund to either the same buffer or different uffers withut going into each GenericSource, of shich by now there are many. BUT, the problem is that Kyma will not allow the MemoryWriters buffer name to be set this way, and so scripting it this way does not work - any other suggestions? Thanks Garth IP: Logged |

![]() ![]() ![]() Hi Garth, Could you please double-check that you have FromMemoryWriter checked in your Sample (or whatever Sound you are using for reading the memory)? Here's what I tried: Mixer is the input to a Script with the statement: aMixer start: 0 s mem: 'rec1'. This worked when I tried it just now. Was there something different about the way you did it? ![]() ![]() ![]() Great - thanks, I wil look at the sound again tomorrow. My memory is that I simple put the ?Buff01 in each variable placeholder in the memory writer sound and the sample playback sounds, but didn;t use the script as you recommend, so will look at that tomorrow. Thanks for your as always helpfull feedback. :-) IP: Logged |
