In the recent KISS presentation there was mention of a forthcoming PacaAU - which begs the question: is a corresponding CapyAU also in the pipeline? or will the PacaAU also work with a Capybara?.

For the Capybara, there is the Flame Interface firmware supporting AV/C audio on the Macintosh. (PacaAU will not work with the Capybara).

Hope SSC don't mind me making these snippets etc.

Here's a snippet of the PacaAU part:

I wonder if the PacaAU will support G5 or intel only...

On one hand, you have the fact that Kyma is UB, however surely PPC days are pretty much over, however SSC have legendary legacy support so I am fascinated to see what is bestowed upon us.

PPC AU support is not entirely essential personally, yet would make quick trips to the studio for a bit of processing much less stressful. (PCIe Core Cards for PT just out of reach at the moment)

Thrilling prospects either way.

It was compiled as a universal binary (but we have not tested it on a PPC yet).

Great news! We have been asking for this and to me it a huge leap forward for more flexible routing and easier integration in general.

You can use Kyma without needing the dedicated audio interface which not only saves a lot of money but also makes it much much easier to use Kyma with your DAW on a daily basis.

This should make the paca(rana) less expensive to get into and less difficult to use in effect/audio chains.

Well obviously that is the burning question, I was trying to contain myself, but ended up rummaging the update history to try and extract some form of pattern.
