Please Help! I can not open my "work in progress" kyma file anymore...
Kyma X quit unexpectedly if i open the file in the soundbrowser or via the file menu.
Sometimes it gives a message FATAL ERROR "out of memory"
My Mac has 8GB RAM?!
I saved it yesterday and everything seamed to work fine and i tried to open it this morning and kyma keeps on crashing. The file is 9.6MB!

please help.

All the best
Christian

i managed to open the file once after lots of tries of starting KYMA with Caps Lock key pressed etc.. .
i copied the important parts into separate new sound files...

but... my live set sounds get more complete and complex every day...

now i keep myself wondering ... is their a restriction in size and complexity of a sound aside from the max. simultaneous DSP power and RAM of a my Pacarana ? How many pages i can use in the VCS? Is their a limitation in the count of widgets/MIDI/OSC Messages?
should i even encapsulate more of my own structures...?

all the best
Chris

Hi Christian,

Would you please attach that Sound file to an email and send it to us? Thanks!

Thanks, we are able to replicate the problem and have made some changes to Kyma to make files smaller and also to make Sound files open faster.
