SimulationoftheDiodeRingmodulator.zip

Hi guys,

I'm currently experimenting with Ring Modulators and am extremely unhappy with the pure mathematic multiplication happening in the digital realm. It sounds harsh and the dynamics are out of control. So I tried real analog diode/transformer ring modulators and they do it just right. Before I build an array of 6 of those (I need them for a specific project) I did some investigation to check if there isn't some convincing digital simulation around.
The only thing I found is this paper I attached whch explores the math of a digital simulation. Now my question: Is there anybody out there who feels able to translate this math into a Kyma/Paca prototype?
The benefit of the digital simulation would be total control over the distortion and such.

I do have some money for this job, albeit not much I guess. Manufacturing this said array of ring modulators would cost me around 500 Euros. This is the money I can give you once your programming runs successful. It should be finished by the end of this year 2010.

Any takers?
Bests,
- Mathis
