hello there!
i am pretty new to kyma and finally getting comfortable with it. i've found i really enjoy using the samplecloud and was wondering about some of your favorite things to do with it. in particular, i was wondering how you can control the speed of the different jitters, and how you could smooth out the timeindex as well. thanks for all the info ive already gotten from these forums, it has helped immensely!

glad to be a part of the community!

I enjoy using the sample cloud for extreme stretching. Putting a time varying function like:

1 fullRamp: (1000 * !Stretch) s

You can also use the replicator with the sample cloud making sure to give each replication it's own seed by using

seed/?VoiceNumber + 1

Then play around with the rest of the variables.

Opps, put:

1 fullRamp: (1000 * !Stretch) s

in the TimeIndex field.

oh 'seed/?VoiceNumber'

I was looking for this without knowing what I was looking for. If that makes any sense at all.

(insert the sound of a penny rattling around in an empty metal tin 'here'.)

Many thanks for that one.

Another expression for ensuring a unique seed for each replicant (replica?)

?VoiceNumber / ?NumberVoices

... or if you can I really advise you on buying a Wacom and assign TimeIndex to PenX, GrainDuration to PenY and PenZ to Amplitude. Simply beautiful those sound trips.

Creative regards
