I'm planning to do in-depth exploration of Kyma in the next few months.
I was considering to buy LCK, CAG5 and add Pete and Dave Microsounds
all at once.
However, on Christian Web site it is mentioned that there's a maximum
number of microsounds allowed to run in the User_microsound asy.
I really don't want to restart Kyma everytime I want to use LCK or Cag5... What are the limitations exactly?

Hi Karl,

The limit is on memory size, not number of microsounds per se. You can select Choose microsounds... from the File menu without having to re-launch Kyma. Just select a new microsound folder and select DSP initialize from the DSP menu.

I think, on the Twiki, there is a combined LCK, Pete & Dave MicroSounds version, so now you only have to choose between that and Camille's.

Apologies! I'll try that again.

The combined LCK, Pete & Dave MicroSounds can be found at: http://www.symbolicsound.com/zzz/pub/Share/Microsounds/03.kym .

Christiaan Gelauff's MicroSounds are available on the Twiki and at: http://www.christiaangelauff.nl/ .

Actualy the LCK has both Pete and Davids microcode included and you buy that from green tea web site.

On the tweeky, Petes microcode has Davids microcode included (these are free). Roberts link above, is to Petes DSP sound modules (that is just the front end sound modules that are needed to make use of the microcode). If you have the LCK loaded or Petes microcode loaded then Petes DSP sound modules will work but not if you load only Davids microcode.

Davids front end sound modules are buried in some of his forum posted sounds and these will work with either LCK or Petes or Davids microcode loaded.

Christiaan microcode and front end sound modules are on the link as Robert said above.

So as it stands you could load both Christiaans microcode and only one of the others. you would never need to load more than one of the others as they are sub sets of each other.

I hope this makes sense.

Dear KX/Karl,
You wrote: "...there's a maximum number of microsounds allowed to run..."

Maybe it is good to know, as of CAG Asy Release 5, all my microsounds are put in seperate files. It means: you can load only the ones you really need.
