Hi,

A new version of OSCulator is released.
You can download it here.
Here, you can visit the website, read the manual, and make a donation.

This version fixes an issue with the AV/C Flame firmware and adds support for using the Kyma Global Map.

Users that were using the new AV/C firmware on PowerPC and Intel Macs, were able to connect to the Flame, but not able to send any control changes. Sorry for the inconvenience, this is now fixed.

If you open the “Preferences …” panel, you can specify the path to your Global Map. If you don’t what it is or if you don’t have one, you can choose kymaglobal.map. Changes are taken in effect when you create or open a new OSCulator document. When a new document is created or opened, OSCulator reads the defined Global Map and maps the CC's to the Hot Value names.

Then, tell Kyma to use this global map too (“File -> Use Global Map …”) so that it knows the same mappings.

This is very handy because you can create a clever Global Map and quickly use Hot Value names instead of !ccXY ones. Moreover Hot Values declared in the Global Map can be automatically represented as buttons or faders.

Best Regards,
Camille

Camille, the new version of OSCulator is great, works really well

I have a question. I am using a Lemur to control Kyma, and I was wondering whether there is a way to make the communication bi-directional, so that the Lemur updates if I move a fader on the VCS (or to reflect faders that are algorithmically generated in Kyma)?

Thanks!

Jack

Hi Jack,

This is a very good question.
I am planning to implement this feature as soon as the new Flame firmware, allowing this, is released.

Best,
Cam
