I don't want to post too many topics at once, but I want to separate this question from other one. I'm new to SSC but want to enable basic configuration to learn it.
I'm trying to get -66 and -320 units working and expect having PCI host card to be delivered soon. Unfortunately I don't have any software cd disks and obviously don't have Kyma X license. I'm wondering if you can help me to find previous version (Kyma v5?) which I can use in a combination with -320 or -66 unit. I don't care is it PC or OS9/OSX one.

Welcome to Kyma!

I expect that you might find it best to contact Symbolic Sound directly about gaining access to an old software version. The Kyma software is licensed to its users so only Symbolic Sound can supply it to you.

I also read your other question about the cable. You will probably get a faster answer on that one from Symbolic Sound too.

Thank you Doug, I did it already. Waiting for the reply. I thought only Kyma X was licensed.

Unfortunately, we do not have any copies of Kyma 5 left on any of our computers

If someone has a copy, please let us know, so we can have an archival copy for the Kyma Museum. Thanks!

I just checked through my archives and my Kyma 5 CD still seems to work OK.
I can upload an image somewhere. SSC can you provide a location for it?

Just want to report, that I got PCI host card running with Capybara-320 unit. it runs very well with Kyma 5.25 which David has shared with me. However, I can't get it running with Capybara-66 unit. Kyma detects it but fails to initialize. Does anyone have an experience with 20 years old piece? )))))

I think the version of Kyma is too recent for the Capybara 66 you need Kyma X.44, which is available over on the symbolic sound website http://www.symbolicsound.com

I had a similar problem with my Capy 66
regards
Graham

Great advice, you have Capy66 running with Kyma X, I didn't try it. Does it require any extra drivers/kext for OSX?
