I vote that Pete and David MicroSounds be included as default once and for all!

I use the RCL and the DelayLine loads, and the filters are good alterntives too.

But, in the meantime, is there a way that they can be loaded up on booting Kyma, so I dont have to do the 'Choose MIcrosounds' every time?

Hi Cristian

I think I said this before, that my DSP modules were made when I started doing DSP programing and they really need to be updated to make them more efficient, and they also need more proofing to make sure they are all 100%. If they were added to Kyma once and for all, it would mean the SSC would be expected to explain problems if crashes occurred due to a fault in my code and although I don't think it will cause crashes it's not fair on SSC. Also once they were added in it would be hard for me to update them when I eventually get the time. Also we need to get the CAG asy included as-well.

As for auto boot at startup by default, this IS currently possible, by calling the micro sound "User Microsound Classes.asy" and placing it along side the Kyma application in the Kyma folder.

Hi Cristian,

You should also know that you can use only one ASY file at a time.
That means it is not possible to use Pete's protos *and* CAG ones at the same time.

Cheers,
Cam

the good news: they did a "merger" in 2003, so you have both united in one microsound. go to: http://www.symbolicsound.com/cgi-bin/forumdisplay.cgi?action=displayprivate&number=3&topic=000139

.. and you'll find it down there somwhere...
have fun

Hi Bruno

Davids and Pete's merged in 2003 and dennis's green tea looper had them included with his at the same time. But we haven't yet got CAG merged in yet. Unless some knows something I don't ?
