I am finding that Wii hot parameters are not working when entered as variables in sounds that are placed in the timeline. I attache a sound that works fine when compiled seperately but when I place it in a timline track it no longer works. I am using OSCulator and a Wii and Numchuck. I also have a Wacom pluged in and have preferences set for the Wacom, and I have a MetricHalo Mobile I/O for micpre tasks also on the firewore chain - coming from Port B on the Flame. When I make hot parameters ina sound and then assign Wii control to them in the VCS, that works fine, but using a GlobalController in a timeline track doesn't. Any advice welcome. All Flame and Kyma updates are up to date and as I say, Wii works fine when not in timeline track. Cheers Garth IP: Logged

Has placing the Sound in the Timeline assigned it to a different MIDI channel than when you play it standalone? You mention using a GlobalController; do you have the wii controls slaved to the global controller? If possible, could you please attach the Timeline rather than the standalone Sound? Thanks! ![]() ![]() ![]() How does the MIDI channel relate to the Wii control input? If I am using Channel 1 as the default, does the MIDI input on the track also need to be channel 1? of course tracks have diferent MIDI channel allocations. I need to make a timeline for you, but when I placed the sound attached to my previous email in a timeline track, it did not work. Cheers Garth IP: Logged

Yes, if you are using Ch 1 as the MIDI channel, and you drag the Sound onto a track that is set up to respond to Ch 2, then it will stop working. Two easy ways to change the channel: either you could change the MIDI channel of the track (click the MIDI icon to get a pop up list of channel numbers). OR you could change the MIDI channel in OSCulator. IP: Logged |
