![]() ![]() ![]() Hi Martin, Had you had an error anytime earlier when editing this file? You can probably rescue your data by doing a Select all, Copy, and Paste into a newly created empty Samples file. IP: Logged

![]() ![]() ![]() This error appeared to me when i did some sample and spectrum editing in X.82. But i could not reproduce it at first. I was editing a sample which was loaded into a sample player. I used save as... to make shure i do not overwrite the orignal. The "File in use by another application..." error window appeared. I tried to reproduce but then it worked.. A few hours later i did some editing in the Spectrum Editor to create some "food" for the new prototypes... and bang ... the same error message when i saved... Today i investigated a bit: It happens if i "shorten" a spectrum with the trim function and use save as... But here comes the funny part... i tried to reproduce the error a few times to be sure ... and now kyma asks me "Do you want to remove deleted tracks?...." this message did not appear when the error showed up. Now it works like it is supposed to do i think... I hope that helps to investigate the problem. All the best IP: Logged

![]() ![]() ![]() Hello! I have still this long recording of samples and just wanted to normalize, trim and save them seperatly. But somehow it comes always this error. Also when i want to generate a waveform via the line segments generator it won´t let me save this. So far i have no work arounds... Greetings - Martin IP: Logged

![]() ![]() ![]() I just tried a 398 s, AIFF, 24-bit, 44.1 kHz file, normalized it, did a Save as, and it did not give me the error. Are you using a different format, sample rate, or duration? Do you have Spotlight turned on? If your file is long enough, it might be that Spotlight is stepping in and trying to index the temporary file before the save operation has finished. One experiment might be to turn off Spotlight on one folder and try saving the file into that folder. IP: Logged

if i load a stereo sample into the editor of X.82 and save it as mono WAV file the error always appears. Even on a drive where spotlight is turned off entirely. On a Mac you have to force quit because the open save windows prevents Kyma from quitting.(see attachment) Saving as an AIF seams to work fine. Greetings IP: Logged

![]() ![]() ![]() We were able to replicate this here; still investigating the cause of the problem. You may be able to get rid of the window by clicking on the Recycle button in the Memory Status window. [This message has been edited by SSC (edited 29 November 2011).] IP: Logged

![]() ![]() ![]() This has been fixed and will be available in a day or two. The problem was a change we had made in the way WAVE files are saved on the Macintosh; as a work-around until the update is available, please save files in AIFF format. IP: Logged

![]() ![]() ![]() That would be great. I changed my whole studio work-flow to use the wave format because i use so many different platforms (hard- and software) for my own samplelibrary. Thank you! IP: Logged
