Hi there.

I tend to use multichannel files as inputs, so i thought i could separate this into a 4 channel spectral stem sound and a spectral process that receives 4 spectra.
An abstraction so to say for further use. Setting the four inputs of my processing sound as replaceable doesn't seem to do the trick. It only replaces one of the sounds with my quad stem sound.

Is this possible ? Do i need to make a class ?

Also on a related note, is it possible to automatically query the number of bins an analysis has, so that a spectral sound can use the right amount of bins ?

Thanks

There is an example in the Prototypes that might help you get started. Try this for stereo:

* Find "Morph1dSpectrum OscillatorBank Stereo" in the Prototypes.
* Insert your spectrum processing between Morph1dSpectrum and Morph1dSpectrumOscillatorBank (I put a SpectrumModifier there).

This plays back a stereo spectrum with modification. Now, for example, if you have analyzed a split-surround sample and produced 6 spectra, one for each channel, you can:

* In the Morph1dSpectrum, change the Format to 5.1
* In place of the Stereoizer, drop a Surroundifier (click Replace instead of Replace all)

That should do it! Don't be put off by the name of the Morph1dSpectrum; if you do not want to morph between spectra, you can put the name of a single file in the Timbres field and set the value of Morph to 0. Just put the name of one of the channels, and Kyma will find the others (assuming you have named them file.L.aif, file.R.aif etc...
