Author | Topic: Supercollider and Kyma over OSC |
cristian_vogel Member |
![]() ![]() ![]() I thought I would start this thread, as clearly the OSC capability of Paca generation opens up the possibility of running Supercollider and Kyma together. SC has a really varied and versatile abstractions for controlling lists and streams, generating randomness, as well as hundreds of different data abstractions and manipulations to explore, many of which of course are orientated to music and sound design. SC already uses OSC as its main way of communication with its own internal server, or external one, so integration with Kyma would seem to be straightforward. Is anyone already doing this? ![]() ![]() ![]() No but please do. Personally I think the new found OSC capabilities of KYMA really opened pandora's box for me. IP: Logged |

![]() ![]() ![]() i used supercollider since the first versions. its osc implementation is straightforward. together with processing(oscP5) i created some "self generative sequencer like" modules for graphic- and sound parameters for example. the best thing about SC is that if you know some syntax and ugens you only have to write a few lines of code to create complex synths, algorithmic sequencers etc ... i think it is really worth to combine SC + Kyma. i will go for the combination myself after i finished my current kyma projects... ... besides kyma and some analog hardware ... SC is still one of my favorites... for SC beginners there are lots of really good tutorials available. IP: Logged |
