2 quick questions :- I could really do with a longer PC to Capy cable than the 1.5 metre supplied. Is this a generic type paralel port cable or is it a specially wired cable??? Secondly, when can we expect win2000 support? Thanks. IP: Logged |

Yes, it is a custom cable. To increase the distance between your computer and the Capybara, you could either order a 3 meter cable from SSC or else upgrade to the FireWire interface (which can have up to a 5 meter cable on either side of a hub) WinXP and OSX are scheduled for end of March. Question on extending the FireWire interface. The '5 meter cable' can be an off-the-shelf FW cable connected straight to the FW port on the computer, right? Thanks, Eddy Martinez IP: Logged |
