I'm having a real problem getting my Pacarana to see my new Motu 896Mk3 audio interface. My setup is as follows:

- Kyma 6.88f4 installed on Mac BookPro running OS X 10.9.1
- Pacarana connected to Mac by via Thunderbolt/Firewire adapter
- Kyma recognizes and initializes the Pacarana DSP
- Pacarana is connected to Motu 896Mk3 via FW800. Mac is not connected to the Motu
- Motu is set to FW interface mode - No USB is connected
- Mac, Kyma and Motu are are set to 44.1Khz

I turn on the Motu first then the Pacarana then load Kyma. The Pacarana fails to detect the Motu interface and shows only the "Silent Device" as an option in the I/O selection. I've tried every combination of FW connection (Mac to Motu to Paca etc.) to no avail.

Would really appreciate any advice anyone can offer on how to get the Pacarana to recognize this supported interface.

Many thanks!

Everything you're describing sounds right.

With the MOTU and Pacarana turned on and connected, could you please save your System Profile and send it to us by email to support@symbolicsound.com?

Thanks!

Thanks! Are you referring to the native Mac system profile or something from within Kyma?

We meant the Mac system profile but now that you mention it, it might be helpful to have both! With the Pacarana and interface connected, please get the Mac system profile first (Apple menu>About this Mac>More Info>System Report, then Save).
Then to get the Pacarana debug log, please hold down the CTRL+Shift keys, while you go to the DSP menu and select Status. It will ask whether you'd like to save a debug file, so you can answer yes. This will generate a file and save it in your Kyma folder with the name 'debug.qed'.

Please attach each of these files to an email to support@symbolicsound.com and we'll see if we can determine what's going on.

Thanks!
