![]() ![]() ![]() I'm using multiple WiiMotes and would like to write Sound parameters in such a way that I can easily change the WiiMote "number". I'd like to be able to specify the WiiMote number in a script and have it affect all of the different places it is used in that Sound. e.g.: Instead of putting !Wii2Trigger in a parameter field, I'd like to be able to specify the "2" in a script, and have it concatenated into the string "!Wii2Trigger". I just can't seem to get the syntax right. IP: Logged |

![]() ![]() ![]() Do you want to set all of the parameters to use the same WiiMote number? If so, you can use !Trigger (for example) in the Sound parameter field, and use Wii2 as the Id parameter value in a Prefixer Sound. IP: Logged |

![]() ![]() ![]() Yes, I basically want a simple way to change which WiiMote controls a particular Sound (instead of creating four copies, one for each WiiMote.) I suppose the Prefixer would work if I put all of the non-WiiMote parameters in the "Don't Change" field. [This message has been edited by Bill Meadows (edited 19 July 2009).] IP: Logged |

![]() ![]() ![]() Well, I tried this and it doesn't work all that well. The VCS (my least favorite thing about Kyma) has its own ideas about the ranges of Pitch, Roll and Yaw. So I have to change the prefix and compile the Sound and edit the ranges, oh, and move the widgets around to where I want them, for each WiMote number. Seems like building the parameter name in a Script would be a more elegant solution - but who knows, it could have the same VCS problem. It's about the same amount of work to support four versions of every Sound... IP: Logged |
