I had an unpleasant experience at soundcheck this weekend!!

I had been rehearsing my show using the ADAT outputs from a Konnekt live, in my studio no problem. Then ADAT signal I converted to DA using my studio's Apogee DA16. No jitter, clicks or problems. Naturally I assumed it would be fine on the road, so I requested the venue to supply a digital mixer with ADAT input. They supplied a second edition Yamaha 02R, with two ADAT cards.

Everything seemed to be fine from Kyma side and the 02R side, but the signal was one continous error. We tried about 10 diffeten ADAT optical cables, and the same problem.

Anybody know about this combination? I have no idea what went wrong, but had to quickly reconfigure my Kyma program to simple 4 channel analog, and was able to do the show. It would be good to get to the bottom of this, so I know for future performances.

Was mixer set to clock off the ADAT? Does O2R have to output a clock back to the Konnekt in order for them to sync? What sample rate were you using (and what was the O2R's sample rate)?

http://www.yamaha-europe.com/yamaha_europe/download/products/20_proaudio/mixers/digital_mixers/original0/original02R_manualV2.pdf

at page 227-228.

I had a similar problem sometimes ago.
I think you need to extract the wordclock sync from the ADAT connection selecting Tape in the Digital I/O 02R page.
