can anyone help us all out with a guide to the SynthBlocks sounds that has been posted at the Wiki?

I can't seem to be able to compile any of the examples, they need parameters values and just seem a little idiosyncratic, but i would love to hear them

thanks

Ah those are mine. Hmmm, I gander they went awry after one of the upgrades and I never uploaded the fixes. If the wavetables are included, I suggest rebuilding with the MultiCycleOscillator sounds (these pre-date those).

I'd love to help you out but sadly my Kyma is in storage with all my other gear right now (blah, work travel). If someone would like to lend me some kyma time around the DC area , I could probably sort them out pretty quickly.

Ok just download the sound. The wavetables look to be there. I would simply download the AntialiasedSawExample.kym and drop the wavetables in there. Actually, now that I think about it, I am not sure if the example is the one with an anti-alias filter or simply based on wavetables that have been pre-filtered. If it is the later, than look for the anti-filter example Pete built a few years back. I think if you open up the P5 example there is one in there.

The index should be number of samples divided by 4096. That will pretty give you the same thing as the synthblocks. Add bonus that it will have the crossfading aspect of the multipleCycle sound is that it may make scanning through the wavetable smoother.

Btw, the synthblock wavetables were hand contructed from samples I took of the various equipment with the exception of the K3. A friend passed those along from a sysex dump. The A100 are from building basic and complex waves with a Doepfer rather than from the wavetable module it has.
