![]() ![]() ![]() I recently acquired a pre owned ssc paca. I have been trying to set it up with an echo audiofire 4. The af 4 is recognised in the dsp status window within kyma but once selected the paca continues 'searching for audio devices' and the audio is erratic. It also displays the 'out of realtime' message when it resets the audio interface. I have tried various firewire configurations but the problem remains the same. I have a 2 port firewire 800 pci-e card fitted in a pc running windows 7 64. I have tried the following configurations: Also: pc fw800 1> paca fw800 1 / pc fw800 2> audiofire fw400 1. Both work but the sound is the same with the aforementioned behavior The af 4 driver is not installed on the computer on which kyma is Any suggestions would be warmly welcomed. Thanks, [This message has been edited by nyarlathotep (edited 09 November 2012).] IP: Logged |

![]() ![]() ![]() The answer was simple enough: AF4 requires an earlier firmware (4.8) in order to operate properly within kyma. As there is no set up guide in the tweaky I made the 'mistake' of installing the most recent firmware. Works now.
