Hi,
Is there any sort of 'global reset' of the MotorMix?
I had a very brief power outage that seems to have knocked
out the text display on the MM. Is this a sign of damage
that needs to go to CM for repair, or is there a reset
function that might revive the unit?
All seems functional, just no labels displayed in the LCD
(which becomes a big pita).

Thanks!
Bill

It might do this if it is coming up in ProTools mode. If you have version 1.08 of the ROM, you should be able to press the Escape and Transport buttons simultaneously to switch out of ProTools mode. (On the earlier ROMs the same keypresses work, but you must hold them down while turning on the power to the MotorMix.)

If you get no display at all (even at power up), you could try adjusting the contrast control on the back of the unit. If it still does not display anything, I am afraid it may need to be repaired.

The built in self-test mode is to connect the MIDI Out directly to the In and power up. The MM should move all 8 faders, blink the LED's and the LCD as well as test the MIDI i/o. If it passes, the manual says, "you can look for problems elsewhere". Hope it's OK. Good luck!
