![]() ![]() ![]() Hello dear Kyma community! I'm not sure if the following is possible, but i wanted to ask, maybe somebody knows a solution. ok, lets say i made 20 sounds. I would like to comibne them in any constellation, live. lets say max. 4 of them at a time. it seems it would be possible within a timeline by just arreging all possible combinations and jump around within the timeline. But with a growing number of sounds, this will become a bit timeconsuming(and by the way not quite elegant). Anybody knows a solution? Thanks a lot! btw. in this example, if i calculated correctly, ther would be 4845 possible combinations... IP: Logged |

![]() ![]() ![]() Another solution is to create a mix of the 20 Sounds, each of them going through a Level or multiplied by an AR envelope. Then you could control which Sounds were audible with the 20 level controls or the 20 Gate controls. IP: Logged |

![]() ![]() ![]() Thanks for the quick reply. That's true, but if the sounds are not samples but complex sythesis patches one quickly reaches the limits of DSP capacity, since all the sounds are always active, and the pacarana thinks i might want to play them all at the same time! So is there maybe a possiblity to mute a sound live, so that it doesnt consume much or any DSP? The reason i am asking is because i am really searching for a solid basis structure on which i can build a whole lot of tiny bits of composed sounds that are still accessible for improvising with them, and all combineable with each other. ![]() ![]() ![]() That's a great question! I was just thinking about this last night. For example, how could I schedule numerous sounds on the timeline but turn them on and off at various points so they only consume resources when active. IP: Logged |

![]() ![]() ![]() Hello! If there is no possibility to achieve this now, are there any thoughts to make it possible? I think it would give (at least my usage of) the kyma system a vast shift in possibilties, altough, i think, if its not possible now, making it possible seems to mean very structural changes.. ![]() ![]() ![]() As in the early 'wormhole' examples when the Pacarana was released - do multiple units linked up together act as one super-pacarana? [Which could then run the 20 sounds for example?] IP: Logged |

![]() ![]() ![]() $$$ would be solution for many things. ![]() I then could also pay somebody to drag 4845*4 or whatever many Bars into the timlenine (which i wouldn't). no Answers to this structural question? IP: Logged |

![]() ![]() ![]() The only way to do this currently would be to create all combinations and place them in a Timeline with WaitUntils; then jump to the combination you want at the time you want. IP: Logged |
