Hello!
Is there a possibillity to play a sample with direct control over the playing Position? So it would read through at normal speed only if one feeds a ramp with the appropriate duration into it.
Maybe i've overlooked something.
Thanks!

You can use a Waveshaper and use the input to the waveshaper as your timeIndex into the sample. For example, start with TimbreWaveshaper, set its ShapingFunction to your sample. Use FunctionGenerator as the input to the Waveshaper. Set the FunctionGenerator Wavetable to FullRamp, set its OnDuration to the duration of your sample (or something you can modify).

Another approach would be to use SampleCloud (where TimeIndex controls the position in the sample), or one of the Aggregate, Additive, or Tau synthesis modules, all of which have TimeIndex controls.

thanks for the quick reply!! I knew i must have overlooked some module that i haven't considered in a enough "general" way! that's one of the most beautiful things in sound synthesis, everything is so multipurpose, that really strikes me so often.
