![]() ![]() ![]() Hi all i have taken to developing VCS GUI's that have coloured squares that flash at me at different times in a timeline so that I know where I am at - this means we place coloured dots on our scores (generally graphic scores) and that allows us to cross reference when performing. So as I move to a smaller PC for touring, I will not have as much screen real estate, So, is it possible to layer or dynamically change the text and colour of a button in the VCS? This would mean I could just write the text and new colour to a single filled button which would take up the entire 11" screen, and would be easy to read on stage. Thanks in advance Garth IP: Logged

![]() ![]() ![]() Thanks for that - is there anyway to do this by a script - ie. could I write a script with a counter that counts the triggers from the timeline and changes colour and text in the button? I did think that perhaps the only current way to do this is at instantiation? IP: Logged

![]() ![]() ![]() No but you could continue to use the same Timeline you have now but with all your colored squares positioned on top of one another. IP: Logged

![]() ![]() ![]() Ok thanks for that - making the VCS scriptable would be great in the future. I bought a secondhand Sony VAIO Picturebook PCG-C1VM which has Firewire and runns WindozeME well - I intend this to be my traveling/touring machine as although I loke the MacBook Pro, when added to everything else (preamps, Capy etc etc) it just gets a bit heavy. I'll let you know how I go setting it up for Kyma Cheers, Garth IP: Logged

![]() ![]() ![]() Also, whilst we're on it - What we be much better for live performance using the timeline, would be that the Layer relevant to the Sound that you want to control is selected automatically. What I mean is, I have say 5 programs that I would like quick access to during a show - the quickest way to jump from program to program (sound to sound) is via the Timeline, using WaitUntil and jumping to next marker using program change - but I need to be able to see the controls of the new sound without letting go of my guitar and selecting the relevant layer ... Is there already a way of doing this ( i am new to timeline ) or can it be implemented? IP: Logged |
