although i hope that midi will be made obsolete by openSound i am worried about some things in kyma:
i have a timeline with several sounds.
these use the same midi-controllers, but it seems that kyma just takes the controller to one instance and doesnīt pass the controller data over to the other hot-controllers where which use the controller.
secondly: i want to use !cc01 on different channels. but the VCS gives me just one !cc01 to assign. so, what to do?
is it better to use the globalMap ????
but this is so unconvenient!

cheers

Have you looked at master and slave controllers in the timeline? I suspect that's going to be the solution.
Set one of the !cc01 (or other) controls as master, and slave the other parameters to that master.

cheers,
Bill

Slaving in the timeline would let you have different ranges for the same controller.

Make a master cc01 controller, and slave each parameter you want to control to that master. In the slaves, you can scale and offset the control so that each has a different range.

You can have cc01 from different channels control different parameters: in the VCS editor, when you select the controller, you can choose both the channel and the controller number from pop up lists.

ok, but is it true that i cannot see the slaved parameter in the vcs
anymore ?
so i have to scale and offset the parameter in the programm itself
and i cannot do it in the vcs?
so i donīt have to assign the proper ch and ctrl on the bottom of the
timeline window?

Yes, you scale and offset in the timeline, once you have made the parameter the slave of the other parameter.
