![]() ![]() ![]() I have some sounds for which I have made a number (say 12) snapshots that i like. I am interested in being able to call these snapshots remotely from a sequencer, and am therefore wondering how this might be achieved. Can I do something with MIDI? I can;t see anything in the manuals about this approach. IP: Logged |

![]() ![]() ![]() quote: You can step through the snapshots using the up/down arrows on your computer keyboard or using the push-button/rotary on a MotorMix. But there is not yet a way to link snapshots with, say, MIDI patch changes. If you always want to go through the snapshots in the same order, you could put the Sound into a timeline, put all parameters into record mode, step through the snapshots, put WaitUntils above each change, and link the WaitUntils to some kind of MIDI event (like keydown or a specific MIDI pitch). ![]() ![]() ![]() If you're using the compiled sound grid, program changes may be confusing. How about bank changes instead - or even user definable parameter input? It just occurred to me that assigning a midi foot pedal to patch changes could be interesting ![]() Gareth IP: Logged |

![]() ![]() ![]() You could have a meta-VCS with faders to move between different presets. And then, when you've found some meta-settings that you like, you can have a meta-meta-VCS to move between them! The possibilities are endless!! IP: Logged |

![]() ![]() ![]() Thanks for your replys. The timeline solution interestes me, but my idea had been that I wanted to go through them in a random improvised manner in performance - they form just one layer of the performance - Sooo this raises the issue of non linear time lines - could one have elements of a time line that use WaitUntils, but the wait untils are allocated a MIDI note or Prog.Change and so in live performance one could skip around the time line in a random order??? - that would fix my problem and would open up the time line for other live applications. ![]()
