![]() ![]() ![]() my ongoing fascination with Spectral Composition ... ... leads me to the question about TrackNumber , the mysterious parameter that can be used in the Spectral Modifier sound. Can it be referenced in any other sounds? IP: Logged |

![]() ![]() ![]() SpectrumModifier is the only Sound where you can reference TrackNumber (aside from the modules that let you peel off a single track). (How were you thinking of using it?) IP: Logged |

![]() ![]() ![]() well, i'm trying to work on a idea of spectral rhythms , and i wanted to try and reference the tracknumber form other sounds ( like pulse generators etc) IP: Logged |

![]() ![]() ![]() One interesting approach might be to use the SyntheticSpectrumFromArray (where you control the pulsing of the amplitudes based on their harmonic number) IP: Logged |

![]() ![]() ![]() One way to use a spectrum to control rhythmic pulse generators: change the waveform of your OscillatorBank to an impulse waveform, scale the frequency of your spectrum way down into the subaudio range, and use these very low frequencies to control the OscillatorBank. IP: Logged |

![]() ![]() ![]() I was already thinking of doing the former - ie. amplitude pulsing - the amp envelope could be variable too perhaps? and I have already been doing the latter - but I find that I mostly get a kind of quantising or aliasing from very slow waveforms being read from ram - whats the best filetype/samplerate/length to use for this purpose?
