is there a 'cheaper' (in terms of DSP-use) solution for these kind of random number generators - involving feedback loops, so that the output value also affects the rate (behaviour in time) with which it is put out? I'm asking because this generator unfortunately is just too much for a cross filter sound i'm designing. So maybe there are more effective, economic solutions to accomplish the same? Thanks.
