![]() ![]() ![]() I'm looking for a Sound that functions like the Noise Gate plugin in Logic, whereby the signal is attenuated whenever it drops below the threshold (variable attack, release, hold, ratio). The DynamicRangeController works the other way around, the signal is boosted whenever it falls below the threshold. So I basically need the inverse of that Sound, how can I go about this? I'll also need a side chain field... Thanks! P.S. The help for the DynamicRangeController doesn't specify the units/range of values expected by the Threshold field. ![]() ![]() ![]() Wouldn't you get this type of behavior by checking the "expander" box in the DynamicRangeController instead of "compressor", and making the Ratio value less than 1? There is even a prototype called NoiseGate that does this. I'm not sure if this is exactly what you're after, but it should be a good starting point. H IP: Logged |

![]() ![]() ![]() To add to Hector's post. To fully build out the Logic Gate, use the side chain and insert filers to shape the trigger signal. You can also mimic the look ahead feature (though it may introduce a small amount of latency). IP: Logged |
