![]() ![]() ![]() Electric Sheep is a video program by Spot Draves that evolves images based on fractals. Spot lent me his hard drive, and I made a video mixdown of numerous sheep running at 80% speed. If you'd enjoy doing something in Kyma that would accompany a 45-minute DVD of this mix, please tell me. Will Grant (playa name Blue Fire) IP: Logged |

![]() ![]() ![]() how do you manage to stay awake during the performance whilst watching 45 mins of sheep running by you? by not counting them? (sorry couldn't resist that one!) IP: Logged |

![]() ![]() ![]() I'd be interested - what's the next step?

![]() ![]() ![]() Thanks for the interest! One simple procedure would be: I do these things: 1) Make sure you're sufficiently familiar with Burning Man to already have a ticket and know where you're camping; 2) Give you links to Entheon and the Temple of Pantheogenesis, so you can get a sense of the crazies and visionaries who will be listening to your music: 3) Give you a link to some of the sheep who will be dancing while you play: The mix we're using is at 80% speed. I agreed not to give a copy of my mix to anyone else, but it's OK with Spot if we play the disk at Entheon. So it's fine if I put on the DVD and you play as the spirit moves you. 4) If you remain interested, I schedule you in the Music Yurt. You do this: Compose some sounds or some ideas of what you'd enjoy playing while the sheep are running, and put your sounds on a disk to bring with you. If you'd like to use a controller other than a Mac mouse, such as a Continuum or whatever, you bring the controller with you to the playa. If you don't want to bring your own computer, you're welcome to run your sounds on my Kyma and MacBook Pro. The Capy has 14 cards and 8 I/O, though at the moment the speaker setup is only hex. We're looking for a subwoofer. The space is a yurt 42' in diameter. There's no pay. Almost everything at Burning Man is volunteer, and this is not an exception. There will be some live visuals people there, and if y'all click, you'd be welcome to collaborate in the space, but that's not required. Musically, you'd have carte blanche. Thank you for the bandwidth :) IP: Logged |

![]() ![]() ![]() Unfamiliar with Burning Man? Black Rock City is an instantaneous urban population of 40,000 citizens, and many different realities coexist here, as they do in any city. Some of us are building pieces for a new world, something solid and humane to put in place as the ancien regime falls apart. We're joining in with the practical work that needs to be done if humanity is to survive. A new world needs music. Thumping dance music is fine, but we need more than that. That's why I am inviting you to play at Entheon. Here's a link to the Ten Principles of Burning Man: IP: Logged |

![]() ![]() ![]() Sorry, I thought you were looking for tracks for the performance. I will not be attending Burning Man - the desert and I are incompatible. IP: Logged |

![]() ![]() ![]() Having listened to your tracks at http://www.downloadplatform.com/directory.php?artist=177&title=Richard+Lainhart, I would very much enjoy performing some of your sounds at Burning Man, if you'd be into that. I'd present you as the composer and myself as the performer of your sounds. You could go dustlessly. IP: Logged |
