Of course I forgot something (actually something Carla suggested herself): are there any sympathies, warm feelings, requests, etc. among fellow kyma users in the Benelux and maybe also West Germany for a users group?
This would imply a little more than emailing. How this should be defined exactly, I don't know at this time. But that's open for discussion...

That's not so easy to answer, since I was born in Berlin, grew up partly in The Netherlands and in Germany, and still alternate between those two countries today (Utrecht-Niederrhein). And you...what's your Heimat?
Do you know of other users in your neighbourhood?

iŽm more involved with sounddesigners than with musicians. the only kyma-user i know personally is frank in berlin (hi frank, warŽn netter besuch!)

Hi Mathis,
yes, a meeting would be nice...I know of two other sounddesigners in A'dam, one of them also kymatic, would be nice if we can meet with them too. Since you're planning to go to A'dam and those two other guys also live there, maybe A'dam is the appropriate place to meet...Fortsetzung folgt!
Somehow sounddesigners are musicians too, aren't they? Anyway, I hope that I'll be able to blur this kind of boundaries in my work. That's also one reason why I started working with kyma/capy.
Cheers, Florian

Hi Armand,

a propos counting in...Mathis and I and some other SDers are planning to meet on sunday (27.1.) evening in A'dam. Probably we'll gather at the Posthoornkerk (Haarlemmer Houttuinen) between 20.00 and 20.30, in order to taste an hopefully interesting concert of contemporary music and of course have some talk afterwards. But that's still a blueprint at this time. Otherwise we can meet at the van Eeghenstraat 16, near Vondelpark (you could use www.mapblast.com for detailed information), which is the residence of a good SD-friend of mine who will also attend the meeting. But like I said, this is not "confirmed" at this time. Dial 030 2886860 (only friday and saturday evening or leave a message and I'll call you back) or 0049 175 1679749 for further developments and decisions.
Cheers, Florian

Hi David,

I just talked to Florian on the phone and at this moment he don't have access on a computer, so he was not able to see your reply.

About the planning he confirmed to meet all at the at the Posthoornkerk.

Hi frank,

sorry for the late answer, but I wasn't able to "compute" for three days now...I'm delighted that this is history now!
Let's say I'm kymate #3 "from" Berlin, as I was born there and lived there for alltogether 5 years (first four + internship year much later), but at the moment not "in" Berlin...unfortunately! I've plans for a return, because I still have good contacts to some excellent musicians there, with which I would like to collaborate again and I still love the
environment. But this is future music.
BTW, it's funny, Utrecht (NL, where I live now) has the same area code as Berlin (030), maybe that caused your question?
Anyhow, what are you doing in Berlin? Sound-Designing and/or composing?
Cheers, Florian

Goeie dag dgkiers,
just now I'm reading your reaction, otherwise I at least would have illustrated for you how one recognizes a "flo". Anyway, just keep in touch for further plans with Armand, Mathis or myself. Right now there are some vague plans for an excursion to Armands studio in Z. (incl. deep sea fishing trip).
Cheers, florian
